Do you know why many enterprises get faded in the midst of adversity? Obviously, no. Let’s get to know the reasons through this amazing story.
He is called Rigobert. Ten years ago, he obtained his bachelor’s degree in modern English letters, West region of Cameroon. No time to waste. He thought of how to value his certificate and this prompted the need for him to observe his community as much as to pick up a problem that he could solve. Thus, he came about the idea of creating a linguistics center, giving back then, many people wanted to go out of the country or to further studies in the neighboring language, yet could not because of the language barrier. That is how Rigobert set up his center and, in a short run, maximized enormous profit. Guess what guys!!
Few years later, others entrepreneurs in town found the domain interesting and created new linguistics centers. But, Rigo did not bother, for at that moment, he had total control of the market. The new comers invested much and brought in new strategies to convince, to persuade, more so, to teach that Rigo did not consider. Rigo’s staff proposed that he follows the trend, yet he ignored everything on the claim that it was a useless investment and that his center was famous and with the best experience in town. Gradually, people kept leaving Rigo’s centers for the uprising ones.
Yet, he careless and satisfied himself with the profit he had saved. Two years after, Rigo’s took consciousness, but it was too late. For, the new centers in town were already far gone in the race. He couldn’t resist it, so in the upcoming years, he shut-down. You see up to where ignorance of innovation and creativity can lead someone! Poor Rigo!!
Many careless of the essence of innovation and creativity in business. They think that the race ends at the creation of a new business. People fail to understand that an idea of a business is new when it is yet in the mind and the day it is exposed to life, it becomes faded. Thus, the entrepreneur has to strive every day to ameliorate or bring new stuffs to gain grounds on the market, for even the customer, at a certain period, is tired consuming the same stuffs. As a good company, once a new product is released on the market, they should start strategizing on the next step. Both components are inherent to business sustainability. I have made these two, my target in everything I do this year. Do you buy the idea?
